STEVEN W. TOPPEL JOINS TRADEMARK PROPERTY CO.
FORT WORTH, Texas (May 29, 2014) – Trademark Property Co., the Fort Worth-based retail and mixed-use development, investment and services firm, today announced Steven W. Toppel as Executive Vice President. Toppel will begin his new role June 3.
With more than 28 years of experience in commercial real estate, Toppel will oversee leasing for Trademark’s portfolio of lifestyle centers, malls, and mixed-use developments.
He joins Trademark after 13 years with General Growth Properties, serving as Senior Director of Leasing since 2006. Prior experience includes Director of Leasing for The MGHerring Group/Trammell Crow Faison and Senior Leasing Representative for Clarion Realty Services in Dallas, as well as vice president roles for real estate brokerage firms Davidson Conine Realty Advisors and Dunhill Partners, also in Dallas.
Toppel also serves as Commander, United States Navy (Reserve), Naval Intelligence, since 1989, with several tours of duty including Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Noble Eagle-Philippines, and Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf.

FORT WORTH, Texas (May 15, 2014) – Trademark Property Co. has been selected by Rice Management Company, which has responsibility for the Rice University endowment, to oversee asset and property management, leasing, and repositioning of the Village Arcade, a 195,000-square-foot open-air fashion-focused retail center that anchors the beloved and historic Rice Village district of Houston, Texas.
Rice University has exercised an option to acquire the leasehold interest in this two-level center from the developer and current owner, Weingarten, with closing set for the third quarter of this year. Located west of Rice University, the Village Arcade is the largest retail property in Rice Village and features 50 stores and restaurants, 60 percent national, including, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, Athleta, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Gap, Kendra Scott, MAC, Sephora, Soma, Starbucks, Victoria’s Secret and White House | Black Market.
