Company welcomes new VP of Leasing, Senior Portfolio Manager, Corporate Portfolio Controller, and internal promotion to VP of Asset Management

FORT WORTH, Texas (June 6, 2018) – Trademark Property Company, the Fort Worth-based retail and mixed-use development, investment and institutional services firm, has hired Clay Walton as vice president of leasing, Rob Buie as senior portfolio manager, and Gary Carlton as corporate portfolio controller. Cornell Holmes has been promoted to vice president of asset management.

Clay Walton will serve as Vice President of Leasing, overseeing leasing at Galleria Dallas, where Trademark was recently hired to manage, lease and develop a plan to evolve the retail portion of the 1.4-million-square-foot property, and La Palmera, a one-million-square-foot super-regional mall in Corpus Christi, Texas. Walton has had a successful career in shopping center leasing for more than 20 years. A consistent top performer, he has previously worked at Centennial Real Estate as a senior vice president of national leasing and The Macerich Company as an assistant vice president of leasing. Walton received his bachelor’s degree from Saint Edwards University in Austin, Texas.

Rob Buie joins Trademark as Senior Portfolio Manager, where he will work on several properties. Buie previously worked at Granite Properties as director of property management in Dallas, overseeing the city’s 4.5-million-square-foot portfolio. He has also managed properties for Cinemark, Regency Centers and Westdale. Buie earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Gary Carlton will serve as Corporate Portfolio Controller in Trademark’s accounting department. A senior finance professional with 18 years of experience, Carlton has developed and implemented the tools, systems and processes to help companies focus on business growth and success. Carlton is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management from North Carolina State University, and his MBA from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, N.C.

Cornell Holmes has been promoted to Vice President of Asset Management where he is responsible for maximizing the performance of Trademark assets, new asset transitions, emergency preparedness, alternative uses, tax district and association management, and sustainability initiatives. Holmes joined Trademark in 2010 and previously served as senior asset director. He earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Trademark’s portfolio of retail and mixed-used development expertise includes a number of recent notable redevelopment projects like Galleria Dallas and Victory Park in Dallas, Rice Village in Houston, WestBend in Fort Worth, Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge, La. and Saddle Creek in Germantown, Tenn.
