FORT WORTH, Texas (Aug. 22, 2017) – WestBend’s tenant list is growing again with the announcement that popular men’s apparel retailer, Bonobos, will open at the University District mixed-use development.

“Bonobos is a prime example of the kind of forward-thinking retailer we want at WestBend,” said Terry Montesi, CEO, Trademark Property Co. “In response to the growth of online shopping, Bonobos rethought the process of how we purchase clothes, and ultimately how they engage with their customer. In the same way, we are rethinking how we curate our retail space at WestBend by focusing on adding tenants, design elements and amenities that create a unique experience. We’re excited that Bonobos has selected WestBend for its first Fort Worth Guideshop; it’s a natural fit.”

Launched online in 2007 with its signature line of flattering men’s pants, Bonobos is now the largest apparel brand ever built on the web in the United States focused on providing better-fitting clothing with exceptional customer service. Its innovative e-commerce Guideshops deliver personalized, one-to-one service to those wanting to shop the brand in person. Bonobos will open a 1,200-square-foot location between Warby Parker and Drybar.

“WestBend is an incredible shopping district who’s become known for hosting up-and-coming, forward-thinking retailers,” said Erin Ersenkal, Chief Revenue Officer at Bonobos. “When an opportunity came up for us to open a Guideshop in the Fort Worth area, we jumped at the chance. We’ve seen tremendous success at our Plano and Dallas locations so Fort Worth was a natural next step for us.”

Bonobos adds to the growing list of fresh, new-to-Fort Worth concepts opening at WestBend, which also includes previously announced tenants, Warby Parker, SusieCakes, Bartaco and Popbar.

WestBend’s new tenants are part of a property redevelopment focused on evolving the University retail district by delivering a critical mass of contemporary retail and restaurants, urban-style pedestrian experience, and Trinity River/Trinity Trails connectivity. In addition to new retail, restaurants, and a newly debuted 26-work public art program, other redevelopment initiatives include new office space, valet and free covered parking, and a number of unique property amenities.

The redevelopment will continue with phase II, which will include a property expansion onto the adjacent 3.5-acre tract immediately south of WestBend. Conceptual planning is underway to develop additional mixed-use space featuring added ground floor retail, a signature hotel, and multi-family units.

At full build-out, WestBend will include 670,000 square feet of walkable urban retail, restaurant, office, multi-family, and hospitality space.
