Our senior management and supporting team has a wide range of international experience from development and asset management to marketing and analytics. Daniel Goldware joined Trademark in October 2013 and currently serves as Vice President of Leasing where he is responsible for leasing within Trademark’s redevelopment portfolio and new ground-up developments.
While at Trademark Daniel has played an instrumental role transforming and evolving many of Trademark’s projects including Victory Park, Waterside, Alliance Town Center, Glades Plaza, 505 Riverfront, Shops at Highland Village, Perkins Rowe, and Zona Rosa.
Prior to joining Trademark, Daniel worked for Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI), a leading retail REIT, as a Leasing Executive where he was consistently a top performer focused on leasing grocery anchored and power centers throughout the central region.
Daniel is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He received a BBA in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Economics from The University of Denver.
Weston Graves, Vice President of Design & Construction, joined Trademark in 2011. Weston is responsible for Trademark’s Tenant Services Department in addition to managing the design and construction of Trademark’s capital projects ranging from new and existing asset redevelopment to ground-up construction. Prior to joining Trademark, Weston had a diverse architecture and development career including positions as Vice President of Operations for Warren Wilke & Associates and Development Manager for K&H Development. He received his Masters of Architecture from Texas Tech University and is a licensed architect in the state of Texas.
Doug Harmonson joined Trademark in 1999 from OmniAmerican Federal Credit Union, where he was assistant vice president of Network Services. Previously, Doug was director of information technology for The Computer Assistant. In 2003, he was called on to help establish Trademark’s research department. Since starting this department, Doug has played a key role in developing several proprietary research tools for Trademark as well as providing research services both for in-house use and for Trademark’s partners. Doug has a BS degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Chris Herman joined Trademark in July 2013 and brings over 13 years of experience throughout the United States in Engineering, Land Development and Construction. Chris leads the Construction division for Trademark, overseeing the ground up, renovations and 3rd party consultants for all of Trademark Properties assets.
Prior to joining Trademark, Chris has played an integral role in development, management, tenant services and construction of retail properties for Vornado Realty Trust in New York, Miromar Development in Ft. Myers, Florida and Bourn Partners, Tucson Arizona. Chris holds his General Contracting License in the State of Arizona and is a Certified Development, Design and Construction Professional (CDP) along with being a member of the Green Building Council of America (GBCA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC). He is a Graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Starting at Trademark in July of 2015, Jeff is responsible for leading land acquisition and pre-development efforts for new, ground-up and major redevelopments of retail and mixed-use projects.
Johnson brings more than 22 years of real estate experience to Trademark having led the acquisition, development, and operation of more than 4.5 million square feet of retail, commercial, multi-family, and industrial property located throughout the country. He joins Trademark from Fareway Stores, Inc. where he served as Director of Real Estate and was responsible for the development of new stores for the 112 grocery store chain. His prior experience includes Founder and President of Cormac Company, as well as Vice President of Stone Creek Development, a privately held real estate company based in Sioux City, Iowa. Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics with emphasis in finance and management from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
As Chief Operating Officer, Corby McWilliams oversees all daily operations of the organization and assists with the planning and implementation of all strategic and business initiatives.
Prior to joining Trademark, Corby spent almost 5 years as Chief Operating Officer of Aquila Commercial, one of Austin’s largest locally-owned commercial real estate services company. During his tenure there, he oversaw the operations of 5 divisions and approximately 25 brokers, led the development of a commercial real estate investment fund, and negotiated the acquisition of its property management division. In 2018, Aquila was recognized as the #1 small business in the Austin Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in Central Texas survey.
He began his commercial real estate career with Endeavor Real Estate Group in Austin, Texas as a development associate and later as an office and industrial leasing associate.
He previously held positions in operations and finance at several startup companies in Austin and New York City, and began his career in the DFW area as a financial analyst for Electronic Data Systems and as a pricing manager for Sprint.
Corby received a BBA in Finance and MBA in Real Estate Finance from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Tommy Miller joined Trademark in 1999 as a development partner, and is currently Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, responsible for investments and asset management.
Tommy previously held executive positions with Santa Fe, N.M.-based Security Capital Group and its investee companies, CarrAmerica, Archstone, ProLogis and the predecessor to Regency Centers. He wrote the business plan for, and was executive vice president of CarrAmerica’s serviced office business, and directed office property acquisitions in multiple U.S. markets. He also served as the founding director of the Security Capital U.S. Investment Research Institute and senior manager with the Arthur Andersen Real Estate Services Group (formerly GA/Partners and Gladstone Associates) in Washington, D.C., and an associate with Kenneth Leventhal & Co. in Dallas.
Tommy is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) CRC Gold Flight Council member and is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is a director of Lyman Holdings and Lyman Lumber Company in Excelsior, Minn., and serves on the board of trustees of All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Trinity University.
Kyle joined Trademark in October 2013 and is currently Vice President of Investments and Asset Management. Previously, Kyle served as Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management.
Kyle is responsible for overseeing all asset management responsibilities within Trademark’s portfolio projects and assisting in new acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to joining Trademark, Kyle worked for Buffington Capital Holdings, a JV development partner with Lennar Homes based in Austin, TX. While at Buffington, Kyle assisted in the formation of Buffington Homes, a single-family builder based in Austin, TX.
Kyle is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Kyle received a BBA in Finance from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from The Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
As founder and CEO, Terry Montesi has led Trademark Property Co. through 26 years of innovative, community-focused development. Under his leadership, Trademark has worked on more than $3.4B and 14.6M sq. ft. of some of the most stakeholder-centric retail and mixed-use properties from coast to coast.
Terry is the driving force behind Trademark’s collaborative, community-driven approach to development. Pulling from his 30-plus years of industry experience, he has cultivated a company philosophy that is defined by creating meaningful customer experiences, collaborating with communities, and unlocking potential. Terry’s commitment to constant evolution and long-time support of the core tenets of Conscious Capitalism led him to create Trademark’s own conscious development model, The Conscious Place, setting the tone for a continued focus on innovative and experiential retail and mixed-use places.
Terry sits on the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Board of Trustees; is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors Hall of Fame, the World Presidents’ Organization, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI); and has served on numerous committees and judging panels for ULI, ICSC and the Texas Exes.
As active participant in the Fort Worth community Terry holds, or has held, leadership positions with the Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth, Christ Chapel Bible Church, the Trinity Habitat for Humanity, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Junior Achievement. In addition, he is an enthusiastic supporter of the Movember Foundation.
Before founding Trademark in 1992, Terry was a principal and co-founder of Huff, Brous, McDowell & Montesi, Inc., Fort Worth’s largest commercial brokerage and management firm. Earlier in his career, he worked for Lincoln Property Company. In 1986, he and his brother became Blockbuster Video’s fourth franchisee.
Terry earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and BBA from the University of Mississippi. He and his wife live in Fort Worth, TX and are proud parents to three grown children.
Prior to Trademark, Phil Pearson joined the Lincoln Property Company (LPC) Dallas office in October of 2013 as Head of Asset Management for the retail division. Prior to LPC, Phil headed up national leasing for RREEF/Deutsche Bank for 10 years managing a portfolio in excess of $2 billion in retail assets. Phil has extensive experience in leasing and asset management of institutional quality shopping centers and mixed-use properties, including lifestyle, high-end free-standing locations, malls, and power & community centers throughout the United States. Phil is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and is designated by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) as a Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS). Phil served as former Texas ICSC Operations Chair for 3 years. Phil earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
David joined Trademark in July of 2014 with more than 31 years of retail leasing experience. Pratt is responsible for leasing the company’s malls and lifestyle centers. Having served 15 years with General Growth Properties as Senior Director and Vice President of Leasing prior to joining Trademark, Pratt has built a significant understanding for the retail real estate industry with an emphasis on specialty retail leasing. Pratt’s past experience includes Director of Leasing for The RREEF Funds, now Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, Senior Leasing Representative for Jones Lang Wooton Realty Advisors, as well as Retail Leasing Agent for Fuller Commercial Brokerage Company.
Cameron Schacht, Vice President of Development and Finance, joined Trademark in 2013. Cameron is responsible for the financing, structuring, and asset management of Trademark’s development projects. During his time at Trademark he’s held roles as a Director of Development and Finance, Senior Finance Associate, and Financial Analyst. Cameron has been involved with many of Trademark’s projects including Waterside, Westbend, Saddle Creek, Victory Park, Alliance Town Center, First Street Napa, and Watters Creek.
Prior to Trademark, he worked for a Dallas based real estate investment management firm in several capacities including acquisitions, development, and portfolio management. He also worked on many different property types including office, multi-family, industrial, and retail.
Cameron is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He received a BBA in Finance and a minor in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a MBA with an Accounting concentration from the University of North Texas.
Steve Sumell oversees Trademark’s stabilized portfolio, and also leads its property management team. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he worked with organizations that include Cushman & Wakefield, Faison, Premisys, RREEF, Hines, JMB/Federated and Homart. Projects for which he has been responsible have an aggregate value exceeding $5 billion and include the Houston Galleria, Century City Shopping Center & Marketplace, the Century Plaza Towers, and Southpark Mall (Charlotte, NC). He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, holds its Certified Shopping Center Manager Designation and is currently on the planning committee for the Nexus Conference. Steve, who has over 32 years of experience, is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and received his BA and MBA degrees from the University at Albany.
Jennifer joined Trademark in October 2018 and is currently Vice President of Tenant Services.
Jennifer is responsible for overseeing all tenant services project managers within Trademark’s portfolio projects and assisting in capital project work.
Prior to joining Trademark, Jennifer worked for American Airlines as a Senior Project Manager in the real estate department responsible for the northeast US. She also has 15 years experience in retail development in Texas.
Jennifer has a LEED AP certification and received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A & M University.
Clay serves as Vice President of Leasing, overseeing Galleria Dallas and La Palmera. Walton has led a successful career in shopping development and leasing for more than 20 years. A consistent top performer, he has previously worked at Centennial Real Estate as a Senior Vice President of National Leasing and The Macerich Company as an Assistant Vice President of Leasing. Walton received his bachelor’s degree from Saint Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
Stacey comes to Trademark with over 17 years of experience in the real estate and financial services industry. She joins Trademark from SandsPoint Capital Advisors. Prior, Stacey worked for Goldman Sachs for 12 years, where she was a Vice President in the U.S. Investment Accounting Department. Stacey was responsible for oversight of the accounting and financial reporting for over 200 consolidating legal entities within the Special Situations and Urban Investment Groups. She also led a team responsible for the full cycle accounting for a variety of retail, commercial, hospitality and multi-family assets. Stacey started her career at Trammel Crow Residential in their property accounting group. Stacey is a CPA, has her BS in Community and Regional Planning and holds a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Ben joined Trademark in October 2014 and serves as Vice President – Finance and Asset Management responsible for coordinating finance and asset management functions within Trademark’s portfolio including redevelopment of market-dominant lifestyle and mixed-use assets. While at Trademark, Ben has worked on several notable projects including Market Street Woodlands, Watters Creek, and Galleria Dallas.
Prior to joining Trademark, Ben worked at C-III Capital Partners on the underwriting and successful disposition of non-performing CMBS loans and REO assets with a combined market value exceeding $350M.
Ben is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Ben earned his BBA and MBA with Real Estate Finance concentration from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
