Saddle Creek is turning its attention to the north side of the shops as it commences phase two of its massive remodel in Germantown.

Phase two together with phase one will add 25,000 square feet of new space.

Phase one adds 20,000 square feet of space in the southwest portion of the property near Poplar Avenue and West Street. It is scheduled to be finished in August.

Besides expanding the retail footprint even more, phase two will increase parking in Saddle Creek North and should be done in winter 2015.

A new tenant was also announced. Soft Surroundings, a St. Louis-based clothing retailer, will occupy a 4,000-square-foot store in Saddle Creek North and open fall 2015.

Kendra Scott, a jewelry and accessory store, and Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill will debut sometime in the fall or winter of 2015. Michael Kors is now open next to Talbots in Saddle Creek South.

“The redevelopment efforts offer the additional space and upgraded amenities necessary for the center to remain the dominant lifestyle destination for tenants and customers alike,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark Property Co., in a release. “We’re focusing our leasing efforts on filling the added 25,000 square feet of space with key tenants – like Stoney River, Soft Surroundings, Michael Kors, Kendra Scott, and others – who fit the distinct, upscale mix at Saddle Creek.”

Texas-based Trademark Property Co. operates Saddle Creek, which originally opened in 1987.
